With over 35 years of experience in energy efficiency, renewable energies, and climate change.
At the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as a Senior Energy Specialist, he is responsible for IDB operations with the energy sector in Mexico and supports energy efficiency initiatives in other countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Previously, he served as Deputy Director of Programs at the Trust for Electric Energy Savings (FIDE) and also held the position of General Director of this trust. He was Vice President of Operations and Director of Operations for Mexico and Central America at MGM Innova, Deputy General Director of Climate Change Projects at SEMARNAT, Vice President of Operations at MGM International, and Head of the Energy Planning Division at the Mexican Petroleum Institute.
He holds a degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, completed postgraduate studies in Energy Economics and Planning at the Bariloche Foundation in Argentina, and earned a master's degree in Administration and Economics of Hydrocarbons from the National Polytechnic Institute.
