Electrical Engineer graduated from the Technological Institute of Morelia (1975). Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from UNAM (1977). Master's degree in Administration and Finance from Universidad Anáhuac del Sur (Honorable Mention, 2000). He has extensive experience in the management of Electrical Energy, High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission, as well as in the Operation and Planning of Power Systems. He has published several technical papers in national and international conferences. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and a Member of CIGRE (Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Électriques, International Council on Large Electric Systems). Engineer González has been a professor in Electrical Engineering courses at various higher education institutions. He also worked for 28 years at the Federal Commission, holding various positions related to the Operation and Planning of the National Electrical Grid, with his last position being Deputy Manager of Electrical Networks in the Specialized Engineering Department of the Operations Directorate. From January 2010 to October 2019, he was the technical director of the company Servicios de Ingeniería Eléctrica Especializada y Comercialización, and from January 2020 to October 2021, he was the Deputy Director of Operations Engineering Services at the National Energy Control Center (CENACE), in charge of Operation Planning and the Implementation, Operation, and Tuning of real-time analysis applications for the Mexican National Electrical System. He has been a consultant on Planning, Development, and Operation of Power Systems in countries across the Americas and Europe (USA, Canada, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Peru, Colombia, Spain). His professional interests include: Operation and Planning of Power Systems, HVDC Systems, Studies and Development of Methodologies for Power System Analysis, Energy Market Analysis, and the integration and analysis of Renewable Energy Projects on Small, Medium, and Large Scales.
